Loren J. O’Toole (1930 - 2013) founded O’Toole Law Firm in Plentywood Montana in 1955. Born and raised in Plentywood, Loren took great pride in serving the legal needs of his community for 57 years, until his retirement in 2012.

Loren’s son, Loren J. O’Toole II (“Larry”) continues the tradition of his father, leading the law firm and its attorneys in the provision of excellent legal services to their clients from across the states of Montana and North Dakota.

In 2020 the firm opened a second office in Scobey, Montana, staffed by attorney Logan Olson. In 2024 the firm became O’Toole & Olson Law Offices.

Loren J. O’Toole II (“Larry”)

Born and raised in Plentywood, Larry returned to his hometown in 1981 to join in practice with his father, Loren. Larry is admitted to practice in Montana, the Montana U.S. District Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the North Dakota U.S. District Court, and the Fort Peck Tribal Court. Larry has worked extensively in the field of oil and gas law, and is no stranger to oil and gas litigation nor the Montana Board of Oil and Gas.

Logan P. Olson   

Raised in Westby, Montana, Logan returned to northeast Montana in 2020 as an associate attorney at O’Toole Law Firm, splitting his time between the Plentywood and Scobey offices. In 2024, Logan entered a partnership with Larry, forming O’Toole & Olson Law Offices, and opening a new office location on Main Street in Scobey. Logan attended Montana State University for his undergraduate studies, where he started and led both the Montana Hunters Association at MSU and the Students for Concealed Carry at MSU. From Bozeman, Logan moved to Missoula to obtain his law degree. While there, Logan served as president of the Federalist Society at UM.

Logan is married to his high school sweetheart, and together they have two boys. Logan enjoys hunting, trapping, fishing, leatherwork, carpentry, reading, and travelling.
